We're finally talking about Daisy Jones & the Six. We try not to yuck anyone's yum too much, but let's just say our opinion is strong. We get into nuanced stories getting simplified, what happens when (most) men write female characters, and all the changes we just don't understand. But on a happier note, Avery watched what she thinks is one of the best shows ever and Rosey is delightfully enjoying a rewatch.

It's time for our final week of month of Sandra! We are sad to see her go. We went out with a bang, with two real downers, but fun to talk about movies: Premonition and Bird Box. Premonition has a 6% on rotten tomatoes, so you can guess some our thoughts, but we have fun breaking it all down.

Next week we're diving deep into the recent release Daisy Jones And The Six, trying to make sense of an adaptation we didn't understand but many people seemed to love. We're going to try and figure out why...

The Sandra stories continue. This week we're looking at Two Weeks Notice and 28 Days. They have nothing in common except Sandra and numbers in their titles. We talk about everything from toxic workplace "romance" to what really goes on in a rehab. We cheer and we jeer - these movies are conflicting. We've finished Daisy Jones and started Yellowjackets and we've got thoughts on both.

Next week we'll finish up our month of Sandra on an odd downbeat with Premonition and Bird Box.

This week we start our month of Sandra! We kick it off with Speed (1994) and The Lake House (2006) aka we kick it off with Keanu Reeves. We break them both down, despite enjoying one much more than the other, and get into flying busses, magical mailboxes, and the cringiest kisses we've ever seen. In addition to Sandra, Avery watched Narcos, Rosey watched Ted Lasso, and we both played a lot of Sims.

Next week we continue with Sandra and will be talking about While You Were Sleeping and Practical...

This week we're rocking out on Mike White/Jack Black's School of Rock! Spoiler alert: We love it. But also, kids need to learn math. In What We Watched, Rosey's into Bad Sister and we do a mini deep dive into The Last of Us's final episode (beware of spoilers just at the end of this episode). Next week we start our MONTH OF SANDRA with Speed and The Lake House.

For what we watched, Taylor fills us in on Creed III with some minor spoilers, and Rosey is reading more romcoms.

We're back! This week we're reflecting on what we watched in 2022. Avery and Rosey both made lists of their favorites from the year (lists below). We also recorded our disappointments but had some technical difficulties. That list is also below. We also take a peek at what's coming in 2023 that we're excited about.

This week we're looking at the holiday hit, Home Alone. Avery's never seen it and Rosey's seen it many times so it's a fun look at the genius of the movie and all the parts that don't make sense. This movie is still pretty good and we also think it's a secret ad for milk.

This week we're talking about the 1992 A League of Their Own. It's not perfect, but we're fairly impressed for 1992 (though we wish we'd made more progress by now). No real surprise, these women are badasses on and off the field. We're very into them and thanks to Penny Marshall for her energy to create and direct this movie.

P.S. Geena Davis and Tom Hanks are both 6 feet tall.

We're taking a week off for Thanksgiving, then we'll be back on November 30th to cover the history of the sitcom.
